TOUCHING MIAMI WITH LOVE (HOMESTEAD)

Since 1995, Touching Miami with Love has been serving our communities’ children, youth, and families with holistic programming as we inspire, educate, and empower. Our impact can be seen in the lives of those we serve.

  • PAINTING CLASSROOMS

As ServeWeek volunteers, we have an incredible opportunity to make a positive impact in our community.

One way we can do this is by volunteering to paint classrooms in local schools that need a little tender loving care. Painting classrooms is a simple yet effective way to improve the learning environment for students and teachers.

Volunteers can expect to spend some time prepping the space, including cleaning the walls and removing any old paint that may be chipping or peeling. Once that is done, we can dive right in and start painting.

  • 10 or older; if between ages of 10-16 years old, must be accompanied by adult

  • Disposable painting materials like a roller with a pan, a brush, rags, drop cloth your water and snacks, and any comfortable working clothes.

  • Park in front of building

TOUCHING MIAMI WITH LOVE (DOWNTOWN)

Since 1995, Touching Miami with Love has been serving our communities children, youth, and families with holistic programming as we inspire, educate, and empower. Our impact can be seen in the lives of those we serve.

As followers of Christ, we are called to demonstrate His love for humanity in tangible ways. One powerful method is to show the love of Jesus to our community by providing 60-80 families with one free wash and/or dry, a small amount of detergent and softener, and a Gospel quote inside the bag, along with information about our church.

  • We're getting ready for our annual Thanksgiving dinner, filled with Christ's joy and love. We need some amazing volunteers to help make it special! If you can lend a hand with party favors, thank you cards, or Thanksgiving giveaway baskets, we’d love to have you join us.

  • 10 or older; if between ages of 10-16 years old, must be accompanied by adult.

  • You might be asked to bring some party favors and baskets.

  • You’ll find parking lot at location.

PATCHES (Reading to Kids)

Every day we are making a difference in the lives of medically complex children and their families. We deeply believe that every child deserves to live free of pain and be as healthy as they can be to grow and play.

Because of PATCHES, many babies and children can get out of the hospital sooner or leave the isolation of home care and spend the day in a safe, enriching environment where they can thrive physically, developmentally, and socially.

  • We’re looking for amazing volunteers to share the love of Christ by reading stories to special needs children, teens, and adults.

This is a wonderful opportunity to brighten someone’s day and make a meaningful impact through the simple act of storytelling. If you have a heart for this, we’d love to have you join us!
